A shooting on early Christmas Eve resulted in a man getting hurt in Kalamazoo.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that around 2:20am Monday morning, officers were called to the intersection of Prouty St. and N Burdick St. on reports of a man getting shot. A 48-year-old Kalamazoo man was found lying on the sidewalk, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was taken to the hospital, and the initial determination is that his injuries are not life-threatening.
