The Red Wings prospects are coming off a great prospects tournament in Traverse City.   They recently played in the championship game unfortunately losing to Columbus 7-3.

The young Wings eventually ran out of gas as they were playing their 4th game in 5 days.   Recent top picks Filip Zadina, Michael Rasmussen, Dennis Cholowski, Givani Smith  and Joe Veleno all looked great in the games they were in.

There is talk that a couple of the guys will have a chance to make the NHL.   It should  add some excitement to the upcoming preseason and season if any of them do make the jump.  Grand Rapids should get a good look at Givani Smith who should be apart of the Griffins this year.
