5 Stars for the BC Chamber

Good news!  Our Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce is one of the highest-rated in the state of Michigan!  

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has given the local chamber a 5-Star Accreditation putting it in the top 1% of chambers nationwide. It's the highest honor and recognition that can be awarded a local chamber by the U.S. Chamber. Our Battle Creek office is one of two 5-star chambers in Michigan.

"First and foremost, we must thank our incredible members and our dynamic leaders — the board of directors — for their business acumen and insights, as well as their volunteerism in support of our chamber," said Kara Beer, president of the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce. "We thank our ambassadors and other volunteers who work on committees and events to serve our members and the community.

"Without the dedicated, enthusiastic, passionate and creative staff that makes all the great things happen this would not be possible,” Beer continued.

This past year, the staff, board, and volunteers of Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce spent countless hours completing the accreditation process. They were charged with demonstrating competency in 9 core areas ranging from finance to facilities.

Local chambers are rated as Accredited, 3-Stars, 4-Stars or 5-Stars. State chambers are recognized as either Accredited State Chamber or Accredited State Chamber with Distinction. The final determination is made by the Accrediting Board, a committee of U.S. Chamber board members and chamber executives from across the country.
