In this week's Miles for Memories Moment, we learn that exercise really is a good thing, even for your mind.

Melissa Ferguson of NorthPointe Woods in Battle Creek tells 95.3 WBCK when folks keep their minds active, their thinking skills are less likely to decline. She recommends doing some of these exercises every day:

  • Stay curious and involved - commit to lifelong learning
  • Read, write, work crossword or other puzzles
  • Attend lectures and plays
  • Enroll in courses at your local adult education center, community college or other community group
  • Play games
  • Garden
  • Try memory exercises
