Several dozen jobs will be making their way to Battle Creek very soon.

The Battle Creek Enquirer says that Janesville Acoustics has announced that they are closing their facility in Richmond, Indiana, and moving the jobs to Battle Creek. Janesville Acoustics is based in Southfield, and is a subsidiary of Jason Industries, Inc. The company says that the shift is an effort to reduce costs, and that it “makes sense” to consolidate production in Battle Creek.

Janesville Acoustics manufactures automotive foams and other insulation material.

Around 79 jobs are expected to come to the Battle Creek factory in the Fort Custer Industrial Park, with the transfer expected to happen next year.
