Accident Claims Two Lives In Battle Creek

A fatal car accident has claimed the lives of two people in Battle Creek Wednesday afternoon.

The crash involved three vehicles at the intersection of East Columbia Avenue and Grenville shortly after 4pm. The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that one woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while another woman passed inside the ambulance at the scene. Another woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Emmett Township Public Safety was assisted by the Battle Creek Police and Fire Department at the scene, which was cleared shortly after 7pm. The accident is still under investigation.
