A crash during rush hour in Kalamazoo sent two to the hospital, and criminal charges might be coming.

WWMT reports the two vehicle crash happened around 5:20pm Thursday, at the intersection of Mt. Olivet Rd. and Riverview Dr. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that it appears at this time that a 46-year-old male driver ran a stop sign, colliding with a 35-year-old woman’s vehicle.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital, with non-life threatening injuries, while a 3-year-old in the woman’s vehicle was reportedly uninjured. The male driver was unconscious when police arrived on the scene, so authorities are now looking at the possibility that this crash was alcohol or drug related.

Charges of operating while intoxicated causing injury might be coming soon.
