A person was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after they apparently drove their truck into a house in Comstock.

WOODTV reports that the accident happened around 4am, in the 500 block of River St, where a truck blew through the intersection of River St. and Abbey St, hitting a car, and then crashing into a gas meter at the corner of a home.

The driver of the truck had to be taken to the hospital, although authorities describe his injuries as minor. Kalamazoo County authorities said Wednesday morning that it appears alcohol might have been a factor in this crash.

No one inside the home was hurt, and the gas leak was quickly patched by Consumers Energy crews. No charges have yet been filed, and the incident continues to be investigated.
