Application Deadline For KCC Trustee Scholarships Is Feb. 15
BATTLE CREEK -- The deadline for graduating high school seniors to apply for a Kellogg Community College Trustee Scholarship for the 2016-17 academic year at KCC is 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15.
The KCC Board of Trustees Scholarship awards recipients up to $3,375 toward in-district tuition and fees for one academic year and can be renewed for a second year at KCC if the recipient maintains eligibility. Scholarship recipients also are admitted to the KCC Honors Program.
Eligible students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.2 or higher, demonstrate leadership experience, and show evidence of community service activity and school involvement. Financial need is not a criterion for the KCC Trustee Scholarship, but applicants must be a graduating senior from one of the following area high schools: Athens, Battle Creek Academy, Battle Creek Central, Calhoun Christian School, Calhoun Community, Harper Creek, Homer, Lakeview, Marshall, Marshall Academy, Pennfield, St. Philip Catholic Central, Tekonsha or Union City.
The KCC Trustee Scholarship is just the latest of several KCC Foundation scholarships with upcoming application deadlines. Other upcoming scholarship application deadlines include the general KCC Foundation Scholarship deadline, which is March 11; and the deadline to apply for the KCC Foundation's three transfer scholarships, which is March 18.

KCC Foundation 2016-17 Scholarships booklets including all KCC Foundation scholarship information and applications are also available in the KCC Foundation office on KCC's North Avenue campus, 450 North Ave., Battle Creek. Students interested in applying for the scholarship can also obtain an application from their high school counseling office.
The KCC Foundation was founded in 1998 by the College to seek private funding to assist students with various needs. A nongovernmental, nonprofit 501(c)(3) with its own funds, the KCC Foundation is managed by a volunteer board of directors.
