Armed Man Arrested Tuesday In Battle Creek

Police in Battle Creek say they caught two men during a traffic stop yesterday.

One of the men was found to have a warrant for his arrest for a parole violation when the car was pulled over at around 2 in the afternoon near Dickman and Washington.

Officers say one of the passengers pulled a handgun and ran off.

A K-9 team was brought in and the suspect was tracked down and taken into custody and the gun recovered.

Both men were taken to the County Jail pending charges.
