Attempted Abduction In Battle Creek

A 10-year-old boy was playing in his backyard, in the 100 block of Winter Street, at 7:00 PM Friday evening, when an unknown man approached him, wearing a ski mask. The man grabbed the boys arm and the child then bit the suspect’s left hand. The youngster was able to run to a neighbor’s house for help. The masked man ran south, through neighboring yards. Authorities searched the area between Goguac and Columbia Avenue, but were unable to locate the man.

Battle Creek Police, at this time, can only describe the suspect as a male, in dark clothing wearing a ski mask. Authorities are in the process of viewing a surveillance video, from a neighboring house, to gain more details and a better description of the suspect.
