Attempted Abduction Proved False

The Albion Department of Public Safety has determined that what was thought to be an attempted abduction of a 10-year-old boy, Friday afternoon, was actually a case of mistaken identity. The driver of the car was a relative of the family and the boy did not recognize him.

The incident had taken place in the 600 block of Lynn Street.

After speaking with the young boy’s family the police confirmed the story and determined that no attempt of an abduction occurred.
