The Battle Creek Police Department says that they were called to Columbia Ave. near Helmer Rd. around 6:30pm Tuesday, after a man was seen walking away from his car after it had gone off the road. Witnesses said the man had been walking on Helmer Rd, causing cars to swerve around him; shortly after, the man was found, struck by a semi-truck.
The Battle Creek Fire Department says that firefighters were called to the home in the 300 block of Minges Hills Dr. around 7:12pm Monday, after Battle Creek Police Officers were originally called due to an intrusion alarm.
