Starting Wednesday, November 15, we’ll be seeing on and off closures of a portion of Jackson St. on Battle Creek’s west side.
The City says that Jackson between Bedford and Stringham Roads will need to be worked on so upgrades can be made to a 48-inch sanitary sewer interceptor pipe, which feeds to the Waste Water Treatment Plant on West River Rd
The Battle Creek Fire Department says that just before 9pm Saturday, the home in the 100 block of W. Fountain St. had a fire start in the rear. It was quickly extinguished by responding firefighters, and no one was injured; however, $15,000 in damage was done.
