The Battle Creek Police were involved in a standoff Wednesday morning.

Officers arrived in the 100 block of West Minges Creek around 7am on a breaking and entering call.  When the suspect exited the home and saw police, he went back into the home and refused to come out.

The homeowner told police that there were firearms inside of the house.

Officers set up a perimeter around the house, bringing in several units as well as an armored car, closing down the street.

Around 8:30am, the suspect was arrested.
