Barry Township Police Chief Resigns

The Barry Township Police Chief has resigned in the face of a performance review over his aggressive enforcement approach. The Barry Township board met Thursday night at Delton Kellogg High School for the review of Chief Victor Pierce. Some residents have criticized him for appointing dozens of reserve officers and acquiring armored vehicles.  A representative read Pierce's resignation letter after the review, and Pierce declined further comment.
