Concerns over the potential cancellation of Independence Day celebrations have been washed away after crews worked around the clock to clear floodwaters from a Kalamazoo baseball field.

The Kalamazoo Gazette reports that the holiday fireworks and Kalamazoo Growlers baseball games at Homer Stryker field will continue as planned this weekend.
