After two fatal motorcycle crashes in southwest Michigan in April, local police are offering safety reminders for cyclists and other motorists.

With springtime bringing better weather, more motorcycles are on the roads. With that, Battle Creek Police Major Jim Grafton and Calhoun County Sheriff Matt Saxton tell WBCK some of their recommended safety reminders have to do directly with cycles, some not.

In fact, both Saxton and Grafton tell WBCK distracted driving is still an overarching theme in traffic crashes around the region.
