Over a quarter-of-a-million dollars in damage has been done to a Battle Creek business, after a fire.

The fire started around 7:15pm Monday, at the ReConserve Inc. recycling plant in Battle Creek.  It appears that the blaze occurred when a front-end loader with a fuel leak caught fire, which spread to the rest of the building.

Battle Creek firefighters were able to contain and put out the fire before it spread.

No injuries occurred, but around $285,000 in damage was done to the building and its contents.
