Things will look busy around the outside of Battle Creek City Hall, as the building gets assessed.

The City says that from Monday until Wednesday, two engineering firms will be checking the structural integrity of the building, and depending on what the firms find, extra work might be needed down the road. These assessors are working after a piece of the 100-year-old building fell off from the façade and struck a worker, while repairs were being performed to City Hall’s east entrance.

The City says for now that City Hall will remain open as usual for business.
