Taking a look at the snapshot of the forecast from the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, you might think we in for a big winter blast. The weather service hasn't gone that far, though, in listing significant accumulations as part of its forecast.

Potential for accumulation is there, though the forecast isn't yet going beyond an inch or less on Wednesday, though some forecasters suggest Friday will bring measurable snow.

Stay tuned!

We'll update the forecast on The Richard Piet Show and all day on WBCK. And, coming up on Wednesday morning at 8:08am, we'll talk with Mark Torregrossa - chief meteorologist at Mlive - about how drizzle can happen when it's well below freezing, and how he interprets the long-range "groundhog" forecast for the remainder of winter.

Hear The Richard Piet Show weekday mornings from 5:30-9am on News/Talk 95.3 WBCK-FM.
