Battle Creek area authorities are searching for information after an apparent drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon.

The Battle Creek Police Department says that the incident happened around 2:40pm Sunday on Battle Creek’s north side. According to WWMT, the shooting took place at a home on Redner Ave. near Goodale. Reportedly several shots were fired, and one person, a 21-year-old male, was hit once. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle and is expected to recover.

Police found several shell casings at the scene, but little further information is available; if you have any tips the BCPS asks that you contact them, or call Silent Observer.
