Battle Creek Firefighter Injured Falling Though Floor Monday

A fire in Battle Creek Monday night led to one firefighter suffering injuries.

The Battle Creek Fire Department says that they were called to the first block of Fremont Plc. around 9pm Monday, and found the home consumed with flames. Firefighters fought the blaze for three hours, but the building was completely destroyed.

The BCFD says that one firefighter had to be sent to the hospital after he fell through the floor, and suffered minor injuries.

The cause of this fire is not known at this time, but it is being looked into.
