Battle Creek Home Fire Deemed Suspicious

The Battle Creek Fire Marshal is investigating a home fire early Friday morning.

Around 2:30am March 18, Battle Creek Fire crews responded to a fire in the 200 block of Battle Creek Avenue.  On the scene, authorities found fire on the outside corner of the house, with the family inside fleeing.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly, with no injuries reported.  An estimated $1000 in damages occurred.

The fire was deemed suspicious, and is being investigated.  One person was arrested by police at the scene.
