Over the last two weeks, three Battle Creek area businesses on the southside of town have been broken into with jewelry being targeted. Battle Creek Police are hoping surveillance will lead them to identifying a suspect who they think may be connected to all three robberies.

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 30th, Pearlman's Jewelry on SW Capital and Wentworth was broken into. Over $33,000 worth of merchandise was stolen there. A week later on Friday, November 9th, King's Jewelers at SW Capital and Beckley had a break-in at around 4:30 am. And earlier this week on Tuesday, the Happy House Gift Shop at E. Columbia and Grand Boulevard was robbed just before 1:00am.

The suspect appears to be a male in a brown coat, black backpack, black shoes with white soles. He's wearing a hood, black framed glasses and a bandana or mask over his face. He may be a white male, about 5'10" tall with a medium build.

The photos below of the man in the brown coat and the one above where he is standing near a counter is considered a person of interest who matches the physical description and was in the area at the time of the Tuesday break-in on E. Columbia.
