A man was arrested in Battle Creek after allegedly breaking into cars.

Battle Creek Police Officers were called to the area of Highland Blvd. and 31st around 2:30am Saturday, after a man was seen breaking into three cars and then walking away.

Responding officers saw a subject matching that description, and as they approached him he pulled a gun from his waistband and threw it to the side. The 33-year-old was also found with evidence linking him to the thefts.

The man was arrested without incident, and will now be facing larceny and weapons charges.
