Battle Creek Man Stabbed Saturday Night

Battle Creek police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 200 block of Laurel Drive, 10 PM Saturday night. Upon arrival, they found a man who had been stabbed in the chest and suffering from a collapsed lung.

The victim was transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital, in Kalamazoo.

A male suspect, who is related to the man, was arrested in Bedford Township and lodged in the Calhoun County jail on charges of attempted murder.

Authorities have determined that the stabbing appears to be the result of an argument between the two men.
