Battle Creek Manufacturer To Launch Multi-Million Dollar Expansion

An automotive parts manufacturer in in the Battle Creek area is looking to greatly expand operations.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that Flex-N-Gate of Illinois is looking to invest $22.3 million at its plant in Emmett Township, near Firekeepers Casino Hotel.

The investment would add stamping and welding operations.

The project, which will be partially funded by a $250,000 grant by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, reportedly will at 59 new jobs to the area, and expand Flex-N-Gate’s current facility by 34,000 square feet.
