Battle Creek Men Arrested For Armed Robbery
Two Battle Creek men are in jail after an armed robbery.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 block of Sharon Drive around 9:30pm Wednesday. The 19 year old victim told deputies that he and a friend had been attempting to sell marijuana to two suspects.
One suspect lured the friend away, when the second pulled a gun on the victim and stole his marijuana, phone and wallet. The suspects then drove away.
Working with the Battle Creek Police Department, the suspects were found at a residence in the 2500 block of Capital Avenue SW, along with a handgun and over a pound of marijuana. Using the information they found, a search warrant was then executed in the 300 block of Meachem Drive, locating more evidence.
The suspects, a 50-year-old and 29-year-old man, were arrested and lodged at the Calhoun County Jail on multiple offences.
