Jeff McGinnis, long-time Battle Creek Central wrestling coach, football coach, and teacher passed away on Monday due to complications from colon cancer.  McGinnis graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1970 and coached  at the school for nearly 40 years, and was noted for singing the national anthem at events.

McGinnis was also a talented pop singer, performing with his group "Shades of Grey" for many years.

A family member posted on Facebook that funeral arrangements would be announced soon.  A go fund me campaign to raise money for the funeral has raised $2,780 of a $6,000 goal.
