The Battle Creek Police Department is taking flak online, after a video of the arrest of a man with a walker was shared on social media.

The video shows what appears to be two officers picking a man up off the ground after a traffic stop, and carrying or dragging him to the police cruiser when he protests that he can't walk.

The City says that the incident occurred Thursday, December 15 at 1pm in the area of Washington and Emmett, and they conducted the traffic stop because they knew the man had a suspended license and a felony arrest warrant.

City officials will review the footage from the stop to determine if the officers acted appropriately, with an official statement planned next week.
