Battle Creek Police Finds No Wrongdoing In Viral Arrest

The investigation into allegations of police misconduct during a traffic stop in Calhoun County has been closed.

The City of Battle Creek announced Thursday that after looking at various video and audio sources, it was determined that Battle Creek Officers had acted appropriately when they arrested 28-year-old Dawan Gordon on December 15.

Gordon is a disabled man who was pulled over for warrants, and is seen in a viral video being picked up off the ground and carried by officers. The video sparked outrage and calls of police brutality online, however the City says that no formal complaints have been received.
