Battle Creek Police Identify Man Found Dead Saturday

The Battle Creek Police are looking for the public’s help with an investigation that began last weekend.

Officers were called to a loading dock between Union and Nevada streets Saturday afternoon, where a 57-year-old man was found dead. Authorities have identified the man as Robert Krutul.

Investigators say that Krutul had a medical condition that had caused previous falls but are not sure if this was the cause. The extra blood seen at the scene may have been from the heavy rain Saturday.

An autopsy is expected to take up to eight weeks, as the investigation continues.
