A railroad crossing near downtown Battle Creek will be shut down all next week to be rebuilt.

In a release, the City of Battle Creek says that starting 7am Monday, May 16 and ending Friday afternoon, the railroad crossing at 150 S. McCamly near ConAgra Foods will be completely closed. The crossing near Dickman Road will be rebuilt by US Trackworks.

A detour will be in place using Hamblin Avenue, Capital Avenue SW and Liberty Street.
