Improvements could be coming to Battle Creek City Hall.

In a release, the City of Battle Creek says that the public can comment on proposed improvements to the public entrance to City Hall on 10 N. Division St., as well as the parking lot.  The proposed improvements can be viewed at here.

The improvements include the movement of the visitors entrance from the east side to the south side of the building, a new central reception desk, and possible self-service kiosks.

A historic building, more than 100 years old, Battle Creek City Hall houses offices for the following departments and divisions: Assessing, Treasurer, Utility Billing, Clerk, Income Tax, Code Compliance, Planning, Community Development, Inspections, City Manager, City Attorney, Finance, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Purchasing, Information Systems and Print Shop, as well as the City Commission chambers and conference rooms.
