Battle Creek Road Work Begins Saturday

Road work is in the weekend picture for Battle Creek, so you may want to plan on alternative routes for the next week.

Milling and paving is scheduled on a section of East Avenue, starting tomorrow - Saturday, Sept. 24. The affected streets include East Avenue South, Capital Avenue NE and M-66 to Emmett Street.

Work is taking place from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and paving should be complete by Friday, Oct. 7, weather permitting.

The street will remain open during this work, but please plan for intermittent traffic disruptions, which could cause delays.

Authorities ask that you please do not park on the street during this work, as vehicles will be towed.
