The roof of Mancino's Pizza & Grinders is empty once again after two days of live broadcasts, answering phones and collecting money to try and reach a $60,000 goal to benefit Haven Of Rest for their continuing effort to help change the lives of the homeless in Calhoun County. After all was said and done Saturday evening, $56,148 was the tally when we started packing things up. Like every Roof Sit though, there is residual amounts that needed to be counted and between that and some other events around town that hadn't been added, it is very likely that the $60,000 goal was met and even surpassed. Once again, we couldn't be more proud of the efforts of our community.

95.3 WBCK and 104.9 The Edge, along with Haven Of Rest ministries, want to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to volunteer this weekend including Mancino's Pizza & Grinders, the 'Bucket Brigades' who were scattered around town, Lakeview Ford for their test drive event Saturday, those who helped grilling hot dogs outside the Sam's Club Entrance on Beckley Road both days, the Men's Life Recovery Program volunteers who were doing the car wash which was also held both days, and everyone else who volunteered along with everyone in and outside the community who took the time to make a donation to the cause.

And of course, we are already looking forward to Roof Sit 2019!
