Battle Creek Teen Shot

A Battle Creek teenager is in the hospital after being shot yesterday.

Police responded when they got reports that someone had been shot in a home on Battle Creek Avenue and found numerous teens at the scene.

The 16-year-old victim had a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was sent to a hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment.

Investigators say they were given several different stories about how the shooting happened.

A gun with filed off serial numbers was found in a field across the street from the house.
