The City of Battle Creek's Transit system now has two more buses to ferry their customers around.

The buses were purchased for around $6,600 each with a federal grant from the Central Ohio Transit Authority, and are 2007 model year Gillig buses. Each sits around 35 feet long, and has been given a fresh set of decals for Battle Creek Transit.

The City says on their Facebook page that the buses replace two units that were reaching the end of their useful life. They say they have lower diesel emissions, less steep ramp inclines for those boarding that way, and longer-lasting floors.
