Battle Creek Woman Arrested On Drugs and Weapons Charges

Several charges are now being sought against a Battle Creek woman after she was found to have drugs and an illegal weapon in her car.

Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies pulled over a speeding vehicle on East Avenue North near Emmett Street, around 9am Sunday.  The driver, a 45-year-old woman, was initially arrested on an outstanding warrant and a suspended license.

Authorities then searched her vehicle and found a small amount of crack cocaine, marijuana and a pair of nunchaku.

She is now facing charges of driving with a suspended license, Possession of Cocaine and Marijuana, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
