Battle Creek’s representative in the Michigan House of Representatives is looking for new interns.

The Battle Creek Chamber of Commerce posted the internship opening on their Facebook page Wednesday, saying that Representative Dr. John Bizon of the 62nd District is seeking interns for the summer of 2018, from May until August.

The interns would help Representative Bizon in his Lansing office, with things like general office operations, constituent relations and communications, and even legislative projects. The internship is unpaid, but students could earn college credit for the work they do.

Applicants need to be a student, veteran, or be part of a job entry program, and strong applicants will have previous office experience and skills in writing, telephones, and Microsoft Office. The posting says that knowledge of the Legislature is preferred, but not required.
