BCPD Officer Involved Shooting Being Investigated By State Police

The City of Battle Creek is now saying that a shooting involving a Battle Creek Police Officer is now being investigated by state authorities.

Authorities say that the shooting happened between 8:30am and 9am on Monday, January 22. The Michigan State Police were called in to investigate; the city also says that the case involves the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team, of which the BCPD is a member. Beyond that, no information is available.
