For the 38th  year, Stacy Skartsiaris has made sure that all who came to the door of her restaurant, on Thanksgiving Day, would be given a free turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

This tradition, at Theo & Stacy’s Restaurant, in Kalamazoo, began when her husband, Theo, saw a man eating out of the garbage. That was in 1977 and Theo passed-away in 1994, but the Thanksgiving dinner has continued to this day.

With the help of volunteers, 600 pounds of turkey breast, 30 pans of dressing and 300 pounds of vegetables were prepared for the approximately 2,000 people that attended.
