Working on a tip, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office discovered a large amount of stolen property and drugs Tuesday.

Authorities say that Deputies went to a home in the 13,400 block of Beadle Lake Rd. in Emmett Township October 17, after someone said stolen goods were there. While speaking to someone at the residence, deputies noticed that there was theft of power taking place.

Deputies returned later with a search warrant, and found inside several pounds of meth and marijuana, along with wire and braided cable that had been stolen from Consumers Energy substations. As well, “several thousand dollars of gift cards, laptops, generators, and prescription medication” were located. At the time of the search warrant two people were inside the home, and they were both arrested and lodged in jail.

The CCSO says more charges could be coming as this investigation continues.
