The Lansing Lugnuts’ home is getting new carpeting next week, and with the Midwest League season over, the team has some big fun going on at Cooley Law School Stadium this weekend.

The ballpark has been transformed into an 18-hole miniature golf course and will be open to the public through the weekend. The stadium is having its field replaced next week and that opened up the chance for the temporary course.

Miniature Golf at the Ballpark, presented by Maple Brook Golf Course and City Limits East, opens on Jackson Field under the lights from 5-10 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday, September 20-22, and from noon-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, September 24-25.

Rounds are just $5 apiece, and are available for purchase at the stadium box office. Golfers are encouraged to bring their own putters.

The Lugnuts' website says the course architect is Lenny Yoder, the Lansing Lugnuts' head groundskeeper, who has been kept busy mowing and crafting the familiar outfield grass into greens.
