The city of Flint’s Capitol Theatre will soon be getting a makeover. According to the Associated Press, a $4 million gift was announced on Monday. The Hagerman Foundation is supporting a renovation effort dubbed the Revival & Renewal Campaign for Live Performing Arts. Before reopening to the public, organizers say they hope to have the ornate theater fully restored during a 14-15 month project. The theater originally opened in 1928 and was closed down around 20 years ago.
