Rep. Dr. John Bizon (R-Battle Creek) tells WBCK he thought progress was being made by Republicans in the Michigan House of Representatives over the last couple of weeks, but the process was interrupted by Governor Rick Snyder. Bizon says the governor offered some perspective on a road funding deal that meant going back to work out some details.

On The Richard Piet Show September 28, Bizon said he suggested to Speaker Kevin Cotter that all other agenda items and committee meetings be cancelled in order for lawmakers to focus exclusively on a road plan. Click the video below to hear Bizon discuss the response.

Bizon also discussed re-election efforts by expelled and embattled former representatives Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat, both of whom have pledged to run again in an attempt to override their exits from the House.

He also talked about the late Dr. Gregory Harrington, Calhoun County chief medical officer, who was killed in a car-bicycle accident last week.

Hear The Richard Piet Show weekday mornings from 5:30-9 on WBCK.
