Black Lives Matter Rally Set For Friday In Kalamazoo

Black Lives Matter activists are planning a rally in Kalamazoo Friday afternoon.

According to the Facebook event page, the rally will be geared towards voicing concerns about perceived “anti-black policies and practices within Kalamazoo”, as well as to honor those lost to violence.

The event, scheduled for 6pm at Bronson Park, will feature speakers, as well as a “shutdown action” to disrupt traffic and call attention to their cause.  Kalamazoo Public Safety says that they will have a presence at the rally as a precaution.
