A new boil water advisory is in effect for a Battle Creek neighborhood.

This advisory is the second to occur this week, as a result of water shutoffs for valve replacement.  You can look here for a complete list of water shutoffs occurring this week.

In a release, the City of Battle Creek says that before using water for cooking, washing dishes, and brushing teeth, water should be brought to a boil for at least one minute to ensure safety.

The affected areas include:

-Wood St between Parkway Dr & Oaklawn Ave
-Oneita St between Greenwood Ave & Parway Dr
-Kendall St between Parkway Dr & Manchester St
-Bowen Ave between Kendall St & Howland St
-Greenwood Ave between Wood St & Kendall St
-Ann Ave between Wood St & Howland St
-Oaklawn Ave between Wood St & Kendall St

 

Boil Water Advisories typically last 24 hours, but may be extended.
