Boil Water Advisory Issued After Water Shutoffs In Battle Creek
A Boil water advisory has been issued for a neighborhood seeing valve replacement work.
The City of Battle Creek said Tuesday morning that Burr St, Meachem Ave, Burnham St. and Fairhome are under a boil water advisory. The City says make sure to boil water for at least a minute before using it for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes or food preparation.
Boil water advisories typically last at least 24 hours.
The advisory came after the city began working on replacing valves in the water system Tuesday, necessitating a shutoff of water services for the following areas from 7am to 4pm:
-Meachem Ave. from Burr St. to Eldred St.
-Burr St. from Meachem Ave. to McCrea Dr.
-Bechman Ave. from Burnham St. to Burr St.
Burnham St. from LaVista Blvd. to McCrea Dr.
